BLUE GREEN ALGAE
Blue Green Algae present in the water.
Please do not let animals in the water.
Thank you.
Algal blooms are a natural phenomenon, occurring in large bodies of water when the weather conditions start to heat up and it is not unusual for a bloom to appear as we head into the warmer months of the year. We will continue to test the water regularly as is our normal procedure, and alongside this, we will use our live water reader to gather more data to inform us of the best course of action moving forward. We have also installed an aeration system across the whole lake, given time this system will help regulate and settle the algae in the lake, making the algal spikes less severe over time.
We work closely with our water quality experts Gavia Environmental. Gavia are experts in the water quality field, working with lakes all across the country. We use their guidance and expertise to help provide a safe environment for our staff and customers.
